We’re fashion professionals, upcyclers, designers, and tech innovators building the first one-stop social marketplace and ecosystem for upcycling.
Upcyclers bridges the worlds of secondhand and upcycled fashion—turning waste into value and pushing the industry toward a circular future. We give upcyclers the tools, materials, and visibility they need to scale their work into real, sustainable businesses.

Visionary. Industry rebel. Upcycler before it was cool.
Gia brings 30 years of experience across fashion and media. She has worked as a fashion designer, nonprofit fashion show producer, fashion magazine publisher, fashion blogger, and Hollywood red carpet fashion reporter. Her designs have been worn by Maye Musk, Vivica A. Fox, and Jeannie Mai.
She began upcycling in the 80s out of necessity. In 2013, she launched her own label, and by 2023, shifted entirely to upcycled fashion to help address the industry’s overproduction crisis. Frustrated by the lack of platforms built for upcyclers, she envisioned Upcyclers—an ecosystem where they can sell, connect, and scale, supported by a platform built for their success.

Marketplace maven. Seller whisperer. Upcycling evangelist.
Julie brings 20+ years of hands-on experience selling across online marketplaces. She built her career on resale, but along the way she realized upcycling is the next evolution.
What started with a hole in a dress, fixing it, loving the process, and recognizing the potential turned into a deeper realization: upcycled pieces aren’t just sustainable, they’re valuable.
That journey led her to launch Bluegreenie, the world’s first commission-free marketplace for upcycled fashion.
