A lot of denim gets thrown away, so I saw it as an opportunity. I took old thrifted jeans and turned them into this denim side bag that I can actually use — one that will not wear off and that I will not get tired of. It's good for books, for school, it fits my laptop. It's functional, very durable, different, one of a kind — and I love it so much. From Waste to Wear: The TSO WEARZ Denim Revival Halter top. I used 4 old thrifted jeans that were headed to landfill, including damaged Levi Strauss jeans. All fabric scraps were saved, no new denim bought. Deconstructed the jeans — kept zippers, labels, seams for character.Washed & cut into patchwork pieces , I had a pattern then hand-arranged each panel to create a one-of-one design. My singer 1306 have me no trouble with the thick denim seams . Many old jeans are dumped — I show how to turn them into high-value, wearable art that lasts.
