Slow Stitch is a small, sustainable clothing start-up designing and making one-of-a-kind pieces of clothing.

This Denim jacket I purchased at one of our local secondhand shops. Too upcycled it and elevate its look, I used a simple straight stitch to sew on some selected pieces of scrap fabric giving it a unique one of a kind look. I am excited to be part of the #thriftflip

This Boxy top started with cutting out the base design from a white sheet. Onto it I hand stitched small circles cut from fabric scraps - the kinds with a little history woven into it. Pieces from skirts gone by, cuts outs from patchwork quilts and other favourites fabrics pieces. The slow stitching process was a way of connecting with the fabric and my mind - a lot of this work was completed after my Dad died. It gave me time to process what had happened.
