The Story

From jeans to Boro-style upcycled jean jacket. This loose-fitting, unlined jacket is inspired by the Japanese Hanten style—drop shoulder, wide sleeve, and banded front. Using various shades of denim from old jeans is a nod to Japanese Boro garments, carefully repaired and layered for many years. My hope is this jacket lives a long and useful life, repaired as needed. Accents are Japanese indigo dyed fabric on the band and a salvaged Levi’s label. #thriftflip
