Challenge Details

Founder of ELLERALI. A Filipino American designer and former marine biologist who transforms reclaimed materials into stylish, functional pieces guided by her philosophy, "Recreate The Created." Her work has been worn by R&B artist Kehlani, and she won the Simple Challenge on Fuse TV’s Upcycle Nation.

Avant-garde, Berlin-based slow fashion brand. Known for its deconstructed couture style, the label has created singular pieces from upcycled materials and dormant fabrics since 2007, celebrating individuality, imagination, and joyful insubordination.

Author, dress historian, mender, and educator. Assistant Professor of Fashion History at Pratt Institute and author of MEND! A Refashioning Manual and Manifesto. She holds a doctorate in material culture from Bard Graduate Center and an MA in costume studies from NYU.
